Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?
We provide your workout mat and all equipment needed for class, so no need to bring your own!
We recommend bringing:
A water bottle
A small workout towel (optional)
A large mat towel for heated classes
Large mat towels are available to rent for $2 or purchase at the studio.
We also have a water bottle filling station, plus electrolytes and energy drinks available for purchase.
DO I NEED TO BRING A MAT?
Nope! We’ve got you covered. SWET provides mats and all equipment needed for every class.
Please leave personal mats at home so we can keep the studio setup consistent and make sure everyone has the space they need.
DO I NEED GRIP SOCKS?
Grip socks are not required. You’re welcome to take class barefoot or in socks—whatever makes you feel most comfortable and secure.
WHAT IS SWET SCULPT?
SWET Sculpt is our contemporary mat Pilates experience designed to challenge strength, control, endurance, and stability.
Classes incorporate traditional Pilates-inspired props including Pilates balls, Pilates beams, resistance bands, dumbbells up to 5 lbs., magic circles/power rings, yoga blocks, and more.
Expect intentional movement, plenty of core work, and that signature SWET burn.
WHAT IS SWET FLOW?
SWET Flow brings it back to the foundations.
This traditional Pilates-focused class is a great place for beginners, anyone newer to Pilates, or members wanting to slow things down and build a stronger foundation.
You’ll focus on form, control, alignment, mobility, and core strength using traditional Pilates props and light hand weights.
New to Pilates? Start here.
WHAT IS SWET STRENGTH?
SWET Strength is our dynamic strength-training program built with Pilates foundations.
Expect a combination of functional strength exercises, intentional movement, Pilates-inspired principles, props, and weights up to 20 lbs.
It’s designed to help you build strength, stability, endurance, and confidence while maintaining the control and mind-body connection SWET is known for.
ARE CLASSES BEGINNER-FRIENDLY?
Yes! You do not need Pilates or strength-training experience to SWET with us.
Our coaches provide guidance and modifications throughout class so you can work at the level that feels right for you.
If you’re brand new to Pilates or want to master the fundamentals first, SWET Flow is the perfect place to start.
ARE YOUR CLASSES HEATED?
Many of our classes are heated using infrared heating panels.
Unlike traditional forced-air heating, infrared panels use radiant heat to warm people and surfaces directly, helping create the warm, immersive studio environment that makes a heated SWET class feel so good.
Class temperatures may vary depending on the format, so check the class description when booking.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INFRARED HEAT?
Infrared heat creates a comfortable radiant warmth that can help your body feel warm and ready to move.
Members often love heated workouts because the environment encourages sweating and can make movement feel especially satisfying.
While exercise itself provides well-established health benefits, infrared heat isn't a medical treatment and everyone responds to heat differently. Hydrate well, listen to your body, take breaks when needed, and leave the heated room if you begin to feel unwell.
If you have a medical condition or aren't sure whether exercising in heat is appropriate for you, check with your healthcare provider before taking a heated class.
CAN I TAKE CLASS WHILE PREGNANT?
Pregnant clients may participate in non-heated classes only.
We do not allow participation in our heated classes during pregnancy. Please consult your healthcare provider before beginning or continuing an exercise program during pregnancy and let your instructor know before class so appropriate modifications can be discussed.
IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
Yes. You must be 16 years or older to participate in a SWET class.
Participants under 18 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian complete the appropriate waiver before participating.
DO YOU OFFER CHILDCARE?
We do not offer childcare at this time.
For everyone's safety, children may not be left unattended in the lobby, waiting area, or elsewhere in the studio while a parent or guardian takes class. Please arrange childcare before arriving for your workout.
WHAT IF I'M LATE TO CLASS?
We know life happens, but arriving on time keeps class safe and minimizes disruptions for everyone.
There is a strict 5-minute late-arrival cutoff. Once class has been underway for more than five minutes, we cannot allow entry.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early, especially for your first visit, so you have time to check in, get settled, and meet your instructor.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Plans change—we get it! Please cancel your reservation at least 4 hours before class begins to avoid a late-cancellation fee or loss of your class credit.
Cancellations made within four hours of the scheduled class time are considered late cancellations. No-shows are also subject to our applicable no-show policy.
Please check your membership or package terms for any specific fees that apply.
CAN I FILM MY WORKOUT?
Yes—with a few ground rules.
Personal filming is permitted from the back row only and only when it does not interfere with another member's workout, your instructor, or the flow of class.
Please be respectful of everyone's privacy. Your setup should capture you—not the rest of the room. Tripods, phones, or other equipment may not obstruct walkways or another member's workout space.
If filming becomes distracting or disruptive, a SWET team member may ask you to stop recording.
DO YOU HAVE A SHOWER?
Yes! We have a shower available for members who need to freshen up after class.
We recommend allowing yourself a little extra time after class if you plan to use it.
DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS?
Yes. Lockers are available for your belongings while you're in class.
Please keep personal items out of the workout area whenever possible and take all belongings with you when you leave.
DO YOU HAVE A WATER FILLING STATION?
Yes! Bring your reusable water bottle and fill up before or after class at our water bottle filling station.
Hydration is especially important when taking heated classes, so we recommend arriving well hydrated and keeping water nearby throughout your workout.
Forgot your drink or need a boost? Electrolytes and energy drinks are available for purchase at the studio.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable, breathable workout clothing that allows you to move freely.
For heated classes, lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing is recommended. Because you may SWET—a lot—a small workout towel and large mat towel can make your experience more comfortable.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY FIRST CLASS?
For your first SWET, plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early.
That gives us time to welcome you, show you around, get you checked in, answer questions, and help you get set up before class begins.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE CLASS?
Consistency beats perfection.
Your ideal schedule depends on your goals, experience, recovery, and the other activities you do throughout the week. Many members enjoy mixing SWET Flow, SWET Sculpt, and SWET Strength to create a balanced routine incorporating mobility, Pilates-based movement, and strength training.
Give your body adequate recovery and choose a schedule you can maintain consistently.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MODIFY AN EXERCISE?
Please do! Your workout should work for your body.
Our instructors can provide options and modifications throughout class. If you have an injury, limitation, or other concern that could affect your workout, speak with your instructor before class begins.
When appropriate, consult your healthcare professional before participating.
